Coach Mikel Arteta shared his honest words after Arsenal failed in the 2023/24 Premier League championship race against Man City.

In the final round of the 2023/24 Premier League, there was no miracle for Arsenal – when Man City won the final match with a score of 3-1 against West Ham, thereby officially winning the championship.

Speaking after winning 2-1 against Everton at the Emirates, coach Mikel Arteta sent congratulations to Man City, who had 2 points more than his Arsenal to win the championship:

`First of all congratulations to Manchester City on winning the Premier League. It’s unbelievable what they’ve done since December. But we’ve also been on an incredible journey with every game being of the highest quality

`There were mixed emotions today. First of all, really proud of my staff and players. They have done an incredible job and have gone above and beyond.`

Talking about achieving the necessary points to win the Premier League, coach Mikel Arteta said that 89 points is not enough in recent years:

Well, when you look at the last 15 to 20 years of this tournament, it was not like it is today and certainly 89 points back then would have been the champion.

`That’s also what makes things good. We can’t feel sorry for ourselves guys. The whole team has tried and is improving. This has been another unbelievable season but Arsenal is not
