Comet storms make up water on Earth?
One of the biggest mysteries about the planets is how water appeared on Earth.
But Earth also possesses large amounts of water, and scientists have wondered for many years how water appeared on Earth.
While this information is still so new, astronomers have found other new evidence to further support this theory – and the incident happened 400 trillion miles ago.
“We see amorphous carbon and silica microparticles,” Lisse said, “which suggests that the comets collided with extremely massive objects, at least as large as the planets Ceres and
It wasn’t just any debris that caught the attention of Lisse and his colleagues, but just specific types of debris, including water ice particles and organic chemicals – the kind of things one would hope for in a cloud of debris.
Putting it all together, you will see the reality of the process of forming water on Earth, which in turn gave us life, billions of years after the Solar System was formed.
“We have observed thousands of stars,” Lisse said, “and this is the only star with these conditions.”
