On the afternoon of May 16, Gen.G (Korean champion) defeated Bilibili Gaming (Chinese champion) with a score of 3-1 to become the first team to win tickets to the final of the MSI 2024 tournament.

After the match, Gen.G team ADC Kim `Peyz` Su-hwan entered the interview room and answered a few questions from reporter Ashley Kang.

What do you think about the win against BLG?

I was quite worried when GEN lost game 1, but after winning game 2, I thought I would win this Bo5 match.

I think many LCK fans will have similar feelings right now.

We thought we played too passively in game 1. We told each other not to be scared, to stay calm, and then everyone discussed picking and banning in game 2. In that game, we played counter.

Why did you choose Nidalee and Yone in game 2?

The opponent kept banning all the mid lane champions, we didn’t have many options left and took the champions we were most confident with.

What do you think about BLG’s bottom lane duo Elk – ON?

We lost to BLG at last year’s MSI, but I still believe that GEN can beat them next time.

How much do you want revenge on GBV?

We always lose in the most important moments.

What was the most memorable moment in this pair of matches?

I think I was pretty good in lane but I made some mistakes. In return, I shot-called well and played very focused in today’s match.

In game 4, when teamfighting in Baron’s cave, you defeated Bin with general Lucian.

I think it’s difficult to do that in the current meta.

What do you think about support player Lehends?

Lehends is a fairly well-rounded player.

If GEN members fell into the river, who would you save?

I think it would be difficult to get Canyon out of the water, and Chovy has too long arms and legs, so I think I’ll choose Kiin.

Do you feel like the atmosphere within GEN is different from last year?

After beating the first Chinese team (TOP Esports), we thought we could beat all the other Chinese teams.

Which team do you think will make it to the finals of MSI 2024, G2, BLG or T1?

I think all three teams are very strong.
