Nightmare Island: The island has nothing but horror dolls like Annabelle
There are many scary places in the world, but surely if you once set foot on the Mexican island La Isla de las Muneca, tourists will all agree that it should be ranked among the top islands.
SOULS HIDDEN IN DOLLS
La Isla de las Muneca, located south of Mexico City, is home to lush green natural scenery.
This scene that looks like it came out of a horror movie also helps explain why the island is also called `Nightmare Island`.
Why does the island hang so many dolls?
However, local people believe that Don Julian Santa was haunted by the thought that the girl’s soul would return to haunt the island.
Don Julian Santa started looking for dolls thrown away in trash piles in neighboring areas or on canals.
Not only that, to add to the spookiness, the dolls are rumored to whisper to each other (if you listen carefully), and sometimes they even move their heads, hands or open their eyes.
A TOURIST DESTINATION NOT FOR THE FAIRY OF HEART
Initially, La Isla de las Muneca was not for the faint of heart, nor was it built to be a tourist destination.
In 2001, the small island opened to tourists for the first time.
Up to now, Nightmare Island has become so famous that there is a fake version decorated identically to deceive tourists.
