Real Madrid locked the goalkeeper to start the Champions League final

Carlo Ancelotti seems to have decided who will start the most important match of the season between two goalkeepers – Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin.

Real Madrid’s 2023-24 season will be remembered as one of the greatest in the club’s history, especially as Los Blancos have overcome many difficult challenges.

Real Madrid has shown an almost perfect face all season, and except for two losses against Atletico Madrid, Ancelotti and his team have had a flawless journey.

With only one final left in the Champions League, Real Madrid has one hand on the 15th championship trophy in the club’s history.

The debate about who will start the C1 final for Real Madrid has been going on for the past few days.

Thibaut Courtois returned from injury in the match between Real Madrid and Cadiz on May 4, and he has appeared in all matches since then.

However, the Belgian goalkeeper was not selected in the match against Bayern Munich, because of the important nature of this match and because he was not completely in good enough form to play in such a crucial match.

It only took Courtois three matches to restore his best form at Real Madrid, and his performance against Alaves recently gave the Bernabeu team enough confidence in his abilities.

During the 90 minutes of that match, the Belgian goalkeeper made 10 excellent saves, including 5 from a position near the goal.

Ancelotti seems to have decided that Courtois will be the main starter.

Jose Luis Sanchez said that with two remaining matches in La Liga and a UCL final, the coach decided to let Courtois start from the start against Dortmund, and Andriy Lunin will start the match against Villarreal in the early morning.

This information is highly likely to be accurate as coach Carlo Ancelotti recently officially confirmed that Lunin will be the one standing in Real Madrid’s goal in the confrontation with Villarreal.

“For me, no debate exists.
