Winning 3 stars, Tottenham puts one foot in the quarterfinals

Sports 247 – Three goals from Son Heung-Min, Jan Vertonghen, and Fernando Llorente helped Tottenham gain a big advantage before the return match in Dortmund 3 weeks later.

In the first minutes of the first half, the two teams were quite cautious when playing slowly and the team often did not rise too high each time they advanced the ball.

In the 7th minute, the home team had the first notable shot in the match.

It wasn’t until the 15th minute that Dortmund had a chance to score their own goal.

In the second half, when the audience had not yet returned to their seats after the break, Heung-Min Son had a close-range kick from Jan Vertonghen’s more accurate cross on the left wing and opened the score.

While Dortmund faced many difficulties in launching an attack, host Tottenham quite easily penetrated the opponent’s penalty area.

This 3-0 victory for Tottenham will bring them a huge advantage before the second leg of the 1/8 round of the Champions League taking place at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund three weeks later.
